Would you like to try something new?
We are a woodcarving group meeting each Wednesday at Downley Old School Community Centre 10 a.m. to 12 midday. We are mainly elderly amateur woodcarvers and have been in the group for several years.
Anyone wishing to try something new would be very welcome to join us. We can advise on many aspects of carving, including types of tools. There is a very reasonable room hire charge payable every four weeks.
Please be assured – you do not have to be artistic to carve wood – a good eye and lots of patience is all. I was 63 when I joined the group 7 years ago, and am constantly amazed at what I and the group can produce.
